Also I gotta agree with you Dane, Alex should quit whining about Japan's dieing population and start making some babies!

And as im now declared a queer i might as well confess that i to am a Kevin Sorbo fan.
So much that i have watched the episode of "Murder she wrote" that he starred in... Twice.
Also, something thats bean eating me for awhile is Alex pronounciation of his name. Like Thorbo instead of Sorbo. Now this wouldnt bother me if it wasnt for the fact that his microphone cant really get what he says and it sounds more like THhhhhh*crack, fwish, wooo*Orbo.
About the Baoh OVA not being well recieved, if that is true, i can see why it would be. They did do some pretty extensive trimming of the story. And while this is the case will all short OVAs like this. For Baoh, they cut out the awesomest villian in the story. Sure he might not have been crucial to the story. But i thought they could have removed the rest and just made a movie about that guy.
Now for those people who havnt read the Baoh manga i will try to explain who that villian is.
First of all, he looks kinda like an acrobatic mummy with a whip.
When he cracks the whip he summons a gigantic baboon called martin.
This ofcourse is no ordinary giant baboob. It looks more like a vampire zombie baboon from hell.
Other than having a strange fetish from killing small children by throwing steel pipes at them. It also shoots a grapling hook from its mouth that it uses both as a weapon and to swing around with.
And i guess that was it, nothing really special about him. But as i said. He should have gotten a movie all for himself :P

The "director's cut" of Highlander should be fantastic also, which should be coming out in Japan very soon, if it isn't already out. I'm not sure about a release overseas, however.
The original highlander 2 was hillarious with their overly sci-fi explanation of the higlanders :p
Highlander 4 endgame to. I havnt seen the original as that aint avaible over here. But according to the trailer on my dvd it was originaly a real "so bad its good" movie. With all the strange magic and stuff.
I am trying to check out all the animes you recomend with four stars. Except perhaps rape-man, i dont see how you could give that one four stars =P

A little side note, there's actually a relatively popular Rapeman live action OVA series. Well, there's not any more... The lead star; Rapeman himself, killed himself recently. :(
The director's cut of the Highlander anime contains the version that Kawajiri preferred. He wasn't very happy with the final cut, apparently. I think what was cut only amounts to about 7 minutes.
Unfortunately, what has plagued the franchise over the years has been studio intervention. Highlander the anime, by comparison, probably suffered the least intervention of any highlander film, at least since the first.
I actually loved Endgame, but I have only seen the recut which corrected a lot of issues that fans have (ie. killing people on holy ground etc..)
Also on another note. I-O released two chapters of madbull 34 just the other day.
If their still scanlating. Then why dont they fix their own site?

The most ridiculous thing, is that the "cutting in half scene" was only ever put into the trailer, but not the film itself. Why on earth would the production company put something like that in their own trailer that would not only alienate the fans, but not end up in the film anyway?
